EducationI graduated from the University of Central Florida receiving both my bachelor's degree in Communicative Disorders and master's degree in Speech Language Pathology. Upon completion of my master’s degree, I became nationally certified with the American Speech - Language Hearing Association (ASHA) as well as licensed in the State of Florida. AssociationsI served on the Florida Association of Speech Language Pathologists & Audiologists (FLASHA) from 2006-08, as Vice President of Governmental Education. Recipient of the FLASHA President's Award May 23, 2009 for dedication to the children of the State of Florida, I belong to a number of organizations to stay on top issues impacting my profession and the patients I serve including: ASHA, FLASHA, Alliance for Pediatric Therapies, Oviedo-Winter Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce. |
ExperienceI have extensive experience in several environments. I was employed with Orange County Public Schools from 2003-04. I've worked in skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted & Independent Living Facilities, along with Home Health Agencies. I have also maintained private practice with pediatric populations from birth to 3 years of age to young adulthood. ServicesI have been providing diagnostic evaluations and treatment to pediatric, adult and elderly patients since 2003, and I am certified in the Compton P-ESL Program for Accent Modification for those pronouncing English as a Second Language.
